From the Quarry to Your Home
Our stone inventory comes from quarries all over the world. From here in the US to Tiawan, to Brazil. This
section will show you how stone gets from a mountainside around the world, into a ¾” thick
polished slab in our marble yard.
The quarry below is just
one example of the many sources of quality stone. The vertical grooves you see in the rock are holes drilled into the rock
before the large granite blocks were removed.
The blocks are then split into smaller, more workable sections with powerful splitters like the
one below. After the large blocks are split into workable sizes they are sawn into long, narrow
slabs and polished to a smooth finish. Most of the slabs that we work with are ¾” thick.
Finally, slabs are delivered to our shop here in Seattle, Washington where they are fabricated to your
specifications and expertly installed in your home. Visit our Private Residences gallery
